Business Development Manager
Position Responsibilities:
We are seeking a proactive, strategic, and relationship-driven Business Development Manager to help grow our architecture& design firm by generating visibility, nurturing connections, and driving new opportunities. This mid-level role is ideal for someone with a strong B2Bbusiness development background with AEC familiarity as a plus, but not required. Working closely with leadership, operations, and marketing teams, you will play a central role in identifying project leads, building relationships with potential clients, and shaping our positioning across our core sectors including mixed-use/multi-family, automotive, industrial, furniture procurement, and more.

RESEARCH
- Research, identify, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with our target sectors.
- Monitor competitor activity and market shifts to inform BD strategy.
- Have an active role and understanding of market conditions.
STRATEGY
- Coordinate closely with marketing, design, and leadership teams to align BD strategies with firm goals.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop outreach campaigns, proposals, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Participate in regular BD meetings and report on metrics, goals, and pipeline progress.
DOT CONNECTOR
- Cultivate relationships with developers, consultants, contractors, potential clients, and manage company CRM systems.
- Partner with internal sector champions to support outreach efforts in key verticals.
- Represent the firm at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings.
PIPELINE
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects through both cold and warm leads.
- Lead or assist in proposal creation, content coordination, and team preparation for interviews.

Required:

Position Responsibilities:
- Implement design intent by producing high quality documents through all project phases, from Schematic Design thru Construction Administration
- Possess strong written and verbal skills to communicate effectively with the project team

Quality Assurance / Quality Control
Position Responsibilities:
- Review Construction Documents and Specifications for private sector projects for errors and omissions, to include review of consultant coordination, core and shell integrity, code compliance, constructability, and specification coordination
- Responsible for evaluating, refining, building and implementing quality assurance processes with internal teams.
- Positive, process minded attitude and willingness to help train associate team members on best detailing and construction practices.
- Experience in different commercial architecture industries (industrial, multifamily, restaurant, etc).
- This quality focused role will be a team-oriented, highly-motivated individual with an eye for detail
- Support the development, maintenance, and implementation of Quality Assurance standards to improve quality and timely delivery of projects
- Provide advice and corrections to improve the quality of the Construction Documents
- Serve as a technical resource and provide mentorship to staff and cultivate an environment of shared knowledge and learning
Required:
- Must have a passion for implementing and maintaining quality management systems, with significant experience in leading construction documentation and contract administration for private sector architectural projects
- An understanding of industry codes, regulations, and standards
- Professional degree in Architecture or Construction Management
- 10+ years’ work experience in the construction industry
- Ability to manage through influence in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize and review multiple projects and project types at once
- Ability to introduce efficiencies and modern techniques to existing processes
