Summary
Bexley Gateway was one of the early mixed-use urban infill projects to be implemented in the area, transforming an under-utilized site into a landmark project defining the entrance into the City of Bexley. Restaurants, retail spaces, offices, and residential units above comprise the four story project, which anchors an important intersection at the edge of the city. It was an early adopter of concrete podium construction, which allowed for residential units above at-grade parking and provided an innovative solution to maximize square footage while simultaneously meeting mandated parking requirements. Bexley Gateway not only re-energized and activated the Bexley streetscape and pedestrian experience, but set the tone for the rest of the Bexley Main Street corridor.
